Culinary Expert Sought
Seeking an accomplished professional to lead our kitchen team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in culinary arts, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and oversee meal preparation and cooking for breakfast and lunch services.
2. Develop and refine menus to ensure variety, creativity and quality.
3. Estimate food and labour requirements and coordinate ordering and stock control.
4. Prepare, season and cook dishes with consistent quality and presentation.
5. Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service.
6. Train and guide kitchen staff and assist with workflow management.
7. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety.
8. Ensure a clean, organised and efficient kitchen at all times.
Requirements:
1. A recognised qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent.
2. Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in a commercial kitchen.
3. Strong culinary and food preparation skills with attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
