Primary objective
As a member of the Remote Schools Support Unit office team, provide administrative and clerical support to all staff in the
Remote Small Schools Network.
Context statement
The Remote Schools Support Unit services 21 small remote community schools in the Central Australian region. The office
is based in Alice Springs and provides educational and administrative support to schools.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support which may include:
* managing travel arrangements,
* maintaining appropriate administrative systems, registers, processes, databases and record management,
* ensure high quality products and the management of effective and efficient workflows across schools,
* managing a range of procurement functions including travel arrangements, purchasing and maintenance.
* Liaise in a discreet and confidential manner with a wide range of people including, but not limited to, all levels of staff
within the agency, external stakeholders and the general public.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven successful experience in providing administrative support; with a high attention to detail, sound judgement, the
ability to maintain confidentiality and a clear understanding of the need for tact and diplomacy.
2. Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work independently with minimal supervision and work under pressure.
4. High level of motivation and ability to monitor and meet changing priorities and deadlines.
1. Sound knowledge in computer systems, records management and major business systems, or the ability to obtain
quickly.
6. Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate
professionally and effectively at all levels and with people from diverse backgrounds.
Desirable
1. Current NT Driver's licence or ability to obtain.

The successful applicant must hold a current Working with Children Clearance Notice (Ochre Card) or the ability to obtain.
This position requires travel to remote locations in 4WD and/or on light planes. Overnight accommodation may require
