About the role
We are looking for experienced diesel fitters to join our safety focused and high performing Heavy Equipment Maintenance team based at the Amrun operation. Our modern, fully equipped workshop is well maintained to ensure you have the tools and environment needed to excel. You'll live in the beautiful coastal town of Weipa, Far North Queensland, with full relocation provided, working across our Northern or Southern Operations.
You will maintain the site's heavy mobile equipment and ancillary fleet to ensure it is available to meet operational requirements. The role offers the opportunity to develop your troubleshooting skills through breakdown response and in‐house repairs, providing varied and rewarding work. At Amrun (Southern Operations) you will work a 7 days on/7 days off roster, staying in a modern camp during shifts and commuting back to Weipa on days off, with an additional allowance to compensate time away from home.

Where you'll be working
Our Weipa Operations include three bauxite mines, processing facilities, ship loaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. The operation produces more than 35 million tonnes of bauxite each year and is supported by a 1,900‐strong workforce, with 26 % women and 25 % Indigenous employees.
