What you’ll deliver with us
The Senior Delivery Lead builds on the Delivery Lead role, which works within a team to serve and support all members of the team to drive the delivery of prioritised features to deliver business value. The role is focused on helping to create autonomous, self organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams via effective implementation of Lean|Agile principles. The Senior Delivery Lead actively reflects on their own behaviour and continuously attempts to improve the organization’s most important asset - our people and our way of working. On top of those requirements, the Senior Delivery Lead is also responsible for leading one or more teams with a significant delivery remit. It facilitates agile release processes and program execution, escalates impediments, manages risk, and helps drive continuous improvement at Program Level or across multiple teams. It is responsible for supporting and eventually running program events such as Planning Meetings, Release Management Meetings, Inspect & Adapt Workshops, and the Scrum of Scrums where required. The Senior Delivery Lead is a change agent within teams, as often the challenge is to bring considerable Agile and Lean delivery to teams who would have little exposure to it.
Major Accountabilities:
- Support the Delivery Manager as the 2IC in the planning, execution, reporting and overall cadence for large programs/tribes
- Able to facilitate teams and engineers to deliver plans across multiple teams
- Support the Leadership team with reporting via self-service dashboards
- Able to identify when it is appropriate for escalations
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- >5 years of experience leading large delivery teams and applying Scaled Agile methodology
- Leading the application of advanced Agile methodologies in complex team settings
- Demonstrated experience having a positive impact outside of immediate sphere of influence (outside of immediate team) i.e. improving Ways of Working at a program level
- >5 years of experience managing the delivery of Cloud Technologies and solutions
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies and how they work together, ie, Platforms, CI/CD, etc
- Strong experience in managing delivery risk and ability to problem solve to mitigate risks.
