Glenelg and Southern Grampians LLEN is a registered charity whose vision is to improve education, training and employment outcomes for vulnerable young people in our region. We partner with schools, community and employers to facilitate programs that support young people in achieving their post-school aspirations. We act as "school to work brokers' who encourage greater understanding of the world of work for students through incursions, tours, careers expos and industry mentoring opportunities as well as recruiting and placing students in high quality work placements.
Reporting to the Board and leading a small dedicated team, you will ensure that an effective operational strategy is set to deliver the organisation's vision by:
* Leading and developing the organisations understanding of issues facing young people in schools in relation to education, training and employment
* Ensuring that you and your team effectively manage current stakeholder relationships and identify and build opportunities with new stakeholders through collaborative partnerships
* Ensuring that KPI's are effectively set, managed, measured and reported on to the Board
* Effectively managing projects across planning, budgeting, securing funding, co-ordination, and implementation
* Contributing to the statewide LLEN network Victoria to leverage best outcomes for our region, rural communities and the state as a whole
What you need:
* Experience leading teams, setting strategy and change management
* Experience in contract management and negotiation, managing budgets and board reporting
* Understanding of the Education, Training and/or Employment sector/s
* Experience with stakeholder relationship management
* Excellent communication skills with experience in strategic advocacy and submission writing
* You must also possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Children and Police Check
