About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a major Iron Ore project in Western Australia. This role will be critical in supporting the transition of the project from construction into staged commissioning and operational readiness.
Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will play a key role in driving the safe and efficient progression through the commissioning phases, ensuring systems are tested, proven and handed over to operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute commissioning plans and schedules.
* Manage the transition from construction completion (Stage 1) through staged commissioning and system energisation (Stages 2-5).
* Conduct functional and performance testing of electrical systems.
* Coordinate vendor commissioning activities and interface with construction teams.
* Prepare commissioning documentation, test packs and reports.
* Support system handover to operations including training and operational readiness.
* Ensure all activities comply with site safety systems and regulatory requirements.
About You
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
* 7–10 years extensive experience commissioning electrical infrastructure on large resource or industrial projects.
* Strong understanding of staged commissioning from construction through to operational handover.
* Experience with HV, LV and ELV systems, drives, control systems and plant integration.
* Strong problem‐solving and troubleshooting capability.
* Ability to coordinate across construction, vendors and operations teams.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
