About the Role:
This position provides direct therapeutic support and intervention to understand, respond to and support children and young people who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviors & experienced sexual assault. The role also has a clinical leadership focus with regard to the development and implementation of appropriate therapeutic support for children and young people within their particular care setting, including out-of-home care, and works closely with professionals and carers to develop trauma-informed therapeutic approaches to support children and young people.
* We require an individual with substantial experience in the area of children abuse and/or working with traumatized children.
* The ideal candidate will have transferable skills to provide therapeutic counseling and support to children, young people and families using a variety of client-focused, trauma-informed modalities that support healing from trauma.
* A demonstrated commitment to improving oneself is essential.
