Application Process
Applicants must provide two referee reports from colleagues they have worked with in the past six months.
Applications will only be considered once referee reports are received.
Referee reports and applications will be reviewed by the relevant Clinical Unit Head or Director to determine suitability.

Our Hospital Medical Officer positions provide a highly practical, hands-on training experience for junior doctors. With exposure to a diverse and complex patient population, our health service acts as the referral and trauma centre for the entire region, covering an area from Woodend to southern New South Wales.
We are a major regional health provider, operating 372 inpatient beds, 72 same-day beds, 11 operating theatres, a regional cancer centre, an 80-bed integrated mental health facility, and a dedicated mother and baby unit.
As a casual HMO you may work in the following areas :
Cardiology
Intensive Care Unit
General Medicine
Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Oncology
Palliative Care
Rehabilitation Medicine
Emergency Medicine
GEM on Acute
General Surgery
Geriatric Medicine
Orthopaedics
Paediatrics
Psychiatry
Renal
There is no minimum shift requirement to remain on the casual bank, however you must ensure your annual flu vaccination is up to date each year in order to stay compliant.
