About the Job
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market leader in the heavy machinery sector as a Business Development Manager / Mining Account Manager.
Our client is a highly respected national company known for its commitment to inclusion, energy, and persistence, offering a supportive and progressive work environment.
This permanent, full-time role is based in Perth and focuses on driving sales growth within the demanding Australian mining industry.
You\'ll be instrumental in promoting a range of premium undercarriage products for heavy mining equipment, focusing primarily on nurturing growth with an extensive list of existing key accounts.
You don\'t need to be at the \'top of your game\' yet; our client is open to a candidate with a strong mix of experience, who is eager to grow and contribute to expanding their market share in the region.
Key Role Responsibilities
Drive sales and strategic growth for heavy mining equipment products.
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer accounts.
Actively manage a sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed monthly targets.
Conduct site visits and customer meetings, often in remote locations.
Collaborate with internal teams on inventory forecasting and supply chain alignment.
Provide regular, accurate reporting on sales performance and market intelligence.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven business development or sales background in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
Strong knowledge of earthmoving or associated products is essential.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
Demonstrated analytical skills with a focus on identifying profitable opportunities.
High proficiency in CRM software for pipeline and portfolio management.
Previous exposure to Construction or Earthmoving Machinery in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position.
Candidates who have experience with brands such as Volvo Construction Equipment, Hitachi, Caterpillar/CAT, Liebherr, Komatsu, Kubota, Bobcat, Case Construction, JCB, Yanmar, Sumitomo or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
On offer is an attractive salary package with a base salary of $120k to $150k plus super, bonus and company vehicle.
