Role-Mulesoft Architect
Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Mulesoft Technical Architect with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in integration solutions and at least 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mulesoft. The candidate must hold relevant certifications, such as Mulesoft Certified Developer, Mulesoft Certified Integration Architect, or Mulesoft Certified Platform Architect. This role involves working on-site at the client's location, collaborating closely with the Principal Architect, and leading technical efforts with offshore teams.
The responsibilities include designing solutions, documenting architecture, creating and demonstrating POCs, securing approvals from the client's governance team, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing API-led Connectivity (ALC) principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Design and Documentation:
· Collaborate with the Principal Architect to design robust integration solutions following API-led Connectivity (ALC) principles.
· Document designs, technical specifications, and architecture diagrams.
· Present and demonstrate POCs to the client governance team for approvals.
2. API-led Connectivity (ALC):
· Implement API-led connectivity principles to ensure a modular, reusable, and scalable integration architecture.
· Design Experience, Process, and System APIs to align with business and technical goals.
· Manage API governance, lifecycle, and security to maintain consistency and compliance.
3. Team Collaboration and Leadership:
· Work closely with offshore teams, providing guidance and technical direction.
· Ensure deliverables meet quality, performance, and governance benchmarks.
4. Performance Optimization:
· Apply Mulesoft best practices to optimize system performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
5. API Lifecycle Management and Security:
· Manage APIs throughout their lifecycle using Mule 3 and Mule 4.
· Implement API governance and security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.
6. Integration Expertise:
· Design and implement synchronous, asynchronous, and batch processing integrations.
· Optimize data-intensive processes using pooling profiles.
7. CloudHub and Advanced Features:
· Leverage CloudHub 2.0 features such as Object Stores, Auto Scaling, and Monitoring (Audit Logs, Insights for Tracing).
· Implement reprocessing strategies, publish-subscribe patterns, and event-driven architecture using Anypoint MQ and VMQ.
8. Large File Transformations:
· Handle large file-based transformations using Mulesoft best practices like Streaming and Memory Management.
9. Infrastructure and Governance Setup:
· Configure TLS with TrustStore and KeyStore for secure communication.
· Set up Governance APIs and apply governance rule sets.
· Manage infrastructure setups on AWS and other cloud platforms.
10. DevOps and Cloud Platforms:
· Integrate and manage DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) using Jenkins, Maven, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
· Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
11. API-Led Design:
· Design APIs and implementation plans using API-led connectivity principles in the Anypoint Design Center.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Experience:
· Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in integration solutions, with 5+ years of Mulesoft hands-on experience.
2. Certifications:
· Mulesoft Certified Developer (MCD)
· Mulesoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA)
· Mulesoft Certified Platform Architect (MCPA)
3. Mulesoft Expertise:
· Proficient in Mule 3 and Mule 4.
· Hands-on experience with connectors like HTTP, FTP, DB, JMS, and File.
· Strong programming skills in Java, DataWeave, and RAML/OAS.
4. API-led Connectivity (ALC):
· Expertise in designing and implementing Experience, Process, and System APIs using ALC principles.
· Strong knowledge of API reusability, modularity, and governance.
5. Advanced Integration Knowledge:
· Expertise in asynchronous and synchronous integrations, batch processing, and event-driven architectures.
6. Cloud and Infra Management:
· Experience with CloudHub 1.0 & 2.0, Runtime Fabric, Tomcat, and AWS setup.
7. Monitoring and Governance:
· Set up production monitoring for APIs and governance profiles.
8. Performance Optimization:
· Skilled in optimizing performance with features like Streaming, Memory Management, and reprocessing strategies.
Work Environment:
· The resource must work on-site 2–3 days per week at the client location.
· Collaboration with offshore teams and client stakeholders is essential to this role.
