The role of a Senior Project Officer involves providing expert advice and support to the Manager, Community Connections. This includes preparing, negotiating, and monitoring service and grant agreements, as well as working in partnership with Department of Human Services (DHS) funded service providers on compliance and performance issues.
This role requires a strong understanding of community development and social inclusion approaches, with a particular focus on DHS's priority populations and communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and ensuring access to relevant information about DHS's priority populations and communities, and enabling collaborations across DHS and between government, services, and people in communities to maximise development of responses to area, place or regional issues.
