Reporting To: Director/ General Manager
Position Purpose
The Assistant Director supports the Director in the leadership and day-to-day management of the NSOA Early Learning & OOSH Centre. This role provides leadership across all areas of the Centre, ensures compliance with the National Quality Framework and related legislation, and acts as the Director when the Director is on leave. The Assistant Director promotes quality outcomes for children and families, contributes to curriculum planning, staff support, community partnerships, and continuous improvement efforts in line with the Centre’s philosophy and policies.

Qualifications
•Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA) or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
•Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification.
•Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training.
•Accredited Child Protection Training.
•Valid Working with Children Check.
Experience Requirements
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
•Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations
Knowledge Requirements
•Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)
•Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW Children’s Services Regulations, Child Protection legislation and associated practices.
Skill Requirements
•Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrated high level of computer literacy.
