Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Health, Safety and Training Specialist to join our organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and maintaining a safe working environment.
This position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring safety and training systems to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs.
The successful applicant will have minimum 3 years' experience in health, safety and training roles in industrial or mining environments, as well as a Certificate IV or above in Workplace Health and Safety. They will also possess strong knowledge of safety legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement effective safety and training programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Conduct regular inspections, audits and investigations to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
* Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills, promoting a culture of safety and wellness.
* Maintain accurate records of training sessions, compliance reporting and incident investigations.
* Support site managers in developing and implementing safety initiatives, rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in health, safety and training roles in industrial or mining environments.
* Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections and incident investigations.
* Certificate IV or above in Workplace Health and Safety.
* Strong knowledge of safety legislation and regulations.
