About the Role
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing any mechanical systems and equipment across our facility.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machinery,
* Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment and systems reliable and reduce breakdowns.
* Install and upgrade mechanical systems of machinery
* Ensure safety and compliance with mechanical codes, standards, and workplace health & safety.
* Document and report maintenance activities including repairs, inspections, and system updates.
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role preferably in the food / FMCG landscape. You will also have previous experience and skills regarding the following.
* Mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial/food processing equipment.
* Fault finding in complex mechanical systems and machinery to meet production targets.
* Perform both breakdown response and preventive maintenance, including routine facility upkeep.
* Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
* Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills.
* Identify and implement improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.
* Computer literacy with experience using maintenance systems (e.g., MEX).
* Knowledge of WHS principles and compliance with safety standards.
* Trade-qualified mechanical fitter; prior experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
