About the Opportunity

Our travel team is growing An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Travel Sales Consultants to join our industry leading travel agency team of experts in our new RACV Knox store. We pride ourselves on delivering great service and creating unforgettable travel experiences for our customers.

As a Travel Sales Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your extensive knowledge of global destinations and passion for travel. You will be responsible for creating personalised travel itineraries managing the customer experience from beginning to end.
Your key responsibilities for the role include:
Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & travel insurance
Build relationships with customers face to face and online, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations
Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers
Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel products
Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs
Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos
Our Knox retail store is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturdays 9am – 2pm. Our team work during these hours with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events. The business may consider increasing to a 7-day trade in the future.
What you'll need to be successful
Retail travel sales agency experience, essential
Certificate 3 in Travel or higher - preferred
GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre - preferred
Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience
Great customer service & communication skills
Excellent organisational, attention to detail & problem-solving skills
Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent personal presentation
