Are you an experienced automotive professional who loves mentoring and developing others? Mazda Australia is on the lookout for a dynamic Technical Trainer to join our Learning & Development team. In this exciting role, you'll deliver engaging, high-quality training to our dealer network—playing a vital part in shaping the skills of the next generation of Mazda technicians while driving excellence across the brand.
This position requires a full-time, in-office presence five days a week, involving interstate travel to cover training, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, deliver, and coordinate technical, new model, and Master's training programs
* Create and update training materials, ensuring content is accurate and compliant
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and address training needs
* Schedule training events and maintain training resources, including vehicles and equipment
* Ensure compliance with WH&S standards during training delivery
* Support and coordinate skills competitions and training promotions
* Track training outcomes and maintain accurate records of participants and performance
About you:
We're looking for someone who is proactive, creative, and genuinely excited about shaping world-class customer experiences. To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A Certificate III in Automotive (Light Vehicle Technology) - essential for this role
* A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - highly regarded, not essential
* At least 5 years of industry experience (Mazda experience preferred).
* Strong technical skills – including diagnostics and electrical systems
* Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* A high level of organisation, autonomy, and tech literacy (MS Office)
* A willingness and ability to travel interstate regularly
