About the Imaging Department
Barwon Medical Imaging provides 24/7 diagnostic services at University Hospital Geelong, Barwon Health North, The McKellar Centre and Colac Area Health. Equipment includes Digital X‑ray, OPG, Dual‑Energy & Spectral CT scanners, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Angiography and a new Hybrid Angio CT Interventional suite.
About the Role
As a Grade 1 Radiographer/MIT you will support the Grade 2 Radiographer and colleagues in delivering imaging services around the clock across all Barwon Medical Imaging sites.
Duties
* Independently operate all diagnostic imaging equipment and information systems (RIS/PACS/Firstnet, BOSS).
* Participate in the ABC roster, being available for reasonable overtime and shift duty without on‑call or night‑shift allowance.
* Operate all X‑ray systems across Barwon Health, including logging equipment faults with imaging supervisors.
* Perform routine medical imaging examinations for emergency, paediatric, inpatient and outpatient patients.
* Demonstrate leadership by example, especially when working with students and other Grade 1 Radiographers.
