Responsibilities
* Ensure that food presented to guests align with property standards and is served within designated timeframes whilst maintaining high quality and presentation
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross-contamination
* Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health safety and compliance with a solid grasp of HACCP management
* Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
* Report maintenance hygiene and hazard issues
* Comply with hotel security fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
* Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
* Be environmentally aware
* Handle a range of kitchen tasks from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes
Qualifications
* A culinary artist with a passion for modern Asian cuisine (Experience in wok would be preferred)
* Trade qualification and experience in a similar role preferably within a hotel environment
* The ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner
* Detail-focused with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality food under pressure
* Energetic and proactive with enthusiasm to develop your culinary expertise
* A team player who easily builds rapport with colleagues and guests alike
* Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends
