About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing top-notch technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues
* Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, and phone queries
* Troubleshoot issues related to Windows, common office apps, and basic networking (Wi-Fi, VPN)
* Assist with installing and maintaining desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
* Manage user accounts and access in Microsoft 365
* Support office setups and video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A technical degree, diploma, or relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals)
* Previous experience in a customer-facing support role
* Flexibility in a seven-day newsroom - including weekend shifts - and the ability to work later in the day
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams (desirable)
