Bruce Rock Engineering are seeking an experienced
Vehicle Body Builder
for ongoing support provided by our comprehensive truck and trailer repair and maintenance department at our new state of the art workshop and facilities. This position will suit mechanical minded candidates with experience in mechanical fitting, fabricating, assembly and fit out of trailers.
This position is/includes:
Monday – Fridaylocal role.
Penalties paidfor overtime worked.
Fortnightly tool allowance.
Immediate start.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
Construct, assemble, and repair the body structures of trailers according to engineering blueprints and specifications.
Perform welding tasks as required to join various components, ensuring structural integrity and strength.
Customise trailers as per customer requirements, including installing doors, ramps, shelving, and other accessories.
Conduct quality inspections at each stage of production to identify and rectify defects, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
Safely handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment required for the assembly process.
Work closely with colleagues and employees within different departments/division, such as welding, painting, and assembly, to ensure seamless production flow.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing suggestions and feedback to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management to support the overall goals and success of the organisation.
About you:
Trade qualification in fabrication, vehicle body building, or related field.
Proven experience as a vehicle body builder or similar role in a manufacturing setting, preferably in trailer manufacturing.
Proficient in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and specifications.
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
3-5 years' experience working with road transport (fabrication, repair, maintenance) (desirable).
