Pipeline Project Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Project Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of offshore linepipe and coating procurement, pipeline string fabrication at the onshore stringing site in Victoria, and technical/onshore support to the pipeline pull-out and installation operations.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong field presence, coordination skills, and experience in offshore pipeline fabrication and civil/construction site environments.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Management, and 8+ years of experience in pipeline construction, fabrication yards, or oil & gas infrastructure.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Support preparation and review of tender documents, manage clarifications and update contracts
* Assist in planning and coordination of geophysical surveys and other pre-award investigations
* Contribute to technical and commercial evaluation of contractor proposals (linepipe manufacturing and coating, trenchless shore crossing, pipeline fabrication and pipeline installation)
* Prepare evaluation reports, risk assessments and constructability/schedule reviews
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Management
* 8+ years of experience in pipeline construction, fabrication yards, or oil & gas infrastructure
* Strong understanding of welding, NDE, coating, and hydrotesting processes
* Ability to contribute to tendering, bid evaluations and contract clarifications
