About the opportunity
The strategic people partner team sits within our People and Development (P&D) Directorate in our Organisational Development Engagement and Performance team. In our team we love engaging, developing and coaching our people to be their best by being supported, engaged and developed to be our best
The role spends time advising and supporting individuals, particularly leaders as they navigate people and member experience opportunities. It also spends time developing programs that enhance the employee experience through organisational development and culture initiatives. If you love working in people and culture and providing expert advice, support and coaching to the workforce across the end-to-end member experience, this may be the role for you
* You will develop and implement People and Development initiatives that will enable the achievement of agency goals.
* You will build partnerships with senior leaders, managers, unit commanders and members providing leadership, guidance, support, coaching and advice in People and Development activities to enable leaders to develop their teams to perform at their best.
* You will work collaboratively with leaders and across people and development, to provide coaching, advice and training, to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of people-related programs, strategies, frameworks and compliance with policies and procedures.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
* You are excellent at collaboration and communication, you do this across business, with people at all levels, including volunteers and staff, so they can achieve an amazing experience
* You love developing programs and initiatives that improve the experience for people in organisations
* You have demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to critically analyse complex people issues, take ownership of complex problems, identify creative solutions and see them through to completion.
* You highly value voluntary service and its role in our community. You understand, or better yet, have experience in managing complexities associated with working in a volunteering organisation
* You have relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources and/or extensive HR experience in a complex operational environment
* You either have thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, and/or have a willingness to obtain competence within 12 months.

* You will enjoy a 35-hour work week, with the potential for flexible work arrangements such as a nine-day fortnight or a four-day work week depending on the requirements of the role and operational needs

* Attractive salary range of $129,464 to $142,665 plus 12% superannuation and leave loading
