This is a great opportunity for an Associate Town Planner to work in a collaborative team reporting to the Project Director.
Our client works on a vast array of projects that require Development Assessment, statutory and long-term planning input. You will apply your solid understanding of current local and state planning legislation to provide advice on development proposals.

DUTIES
4. Take job briefs, run projects, delegate work
5. Mentor and oversee the training and development of staff
6. Manage and liaise with clients and attend site
7. Prepare/manage/review written reports and invoicing developer proposals on town planning advice to various planning issues and planning legislation to support development applications
8. Liaise with Councils and other relevant stakeholders
9. Build and continue strong relationships with developers, many are repeat clients
10. Review supporting documents provided by consultants such as traffic and hydraulic engineers etc
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
11. Ideally 10 years plus experience in town planning, with specific experience in Development Assessment/Statutory planning.
12. Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or equivalent
13. Leadership skills to help guide and grow your team skills
14. Demonstrated ability to run projects effectively
15. A demonstrated understanding of statutory and strategic planning instruments
16. A strong work ethic that involves good written and verbal communication and the ability to apply critical thinking skills
17. Previous town planning experience working in a private consultancy and ideally local government would be a bonus
18. You must be eligible to work in Australia to apply for this role
