English Teacher Position
We are seeking an experienced and passionate English teacher to join our Senior School team. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a lasting impact on the lives of students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English across Years 7 to 12, with a focus on delivering engaging and challenging programs that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love of language.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach English classes to students across Years 7 to 12, inspiring and motivating them to reach their full potential.
* Develop and deliver innovative English programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum, Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE), International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and the School's curriculum framework.
* Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement pastoral care initiatives, including tutoring student groups and contributing to co-curricular programs.
* Participate in the School's community events, such as Assemblies, Gatherings, and Supervisory duties.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to uphold the School's policies and ethical standards.
* Engage in ongoing professional learning and development to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the School's Improvement Plan.
