Quick Overview Of The Role
We're currently hiring an experienced Driver to become a key part of our fantastic Thornton team This role is responsible for delivering scheduled items and assisting with the collection and delivery of returns, safely and efficiently as well as loading/unloading items, ensuring the load is secure and safe at all times, by following transport legislation and guidelines. When not on the road, this role will offer variety where you will work as a Loader in the warehouse, preparing, packing and loading orders according to daily work plans with a strong focus on safety and quality. This position is full-time Mon-Fri working the day shift with standard hours of work generally 5am-1.06pm.
What will you be doing?
Conduct pre-start checks on the vehicle and all equipment before use
Report any faults to their manager/representative immediately
Complete daily run sheets and have all delivery notes signed
Drive and work in a safe manner at all times
Adhere to COR requirements
Complete daily load audits
Prepare, pack & load sales orders according to the daily work plan with a strong focus on safety & quality.
icking and packing of sales orders in accordance with order requirements, company procedures and nominated work plan.
Conducting pre-start checks on plant, equipment, and machinery before use.
Ensure tidy presentation of vehicle, and equipment at all times.
Ensure all required documentation is correctly compiled in accordance with state regulations
Thorough knowledge of the regulations and requirements of NSW and QLD Road Rules and adhering to transport legislation/guidelines and road safety guidelines at all times
Assist customer requests in regard to placement
Assist customers with any queries/disputes
Report all queries/disputes to the NSW Regional Manager
Skills and Experiences:
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
Full clean driver's license
HR/MC license
Good communication skills
Proactive nature
High attention to detail
Vehicle unloading crane experience
Forklift license is highly desirable
VLC license is highly desirable.
