Job Title: LGBTQIA+ Initial Assessment and Planning Worker
Pride in Place - We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an LGBTQIA+ Initial Assessment and Planning Worker. This rewarding role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, providing tailored information, and facilitating referrals to suitable internal and external services.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and community stakeholders. You will be responsible for performing complex operational tasks, planning and coordinating activities within a clearly defined area of the organisation, and applying specialised knowledge, skills, and professional judgement in carrying out key functions.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments with LGBTQIA+ clients, focusing on lived experiences, identified strengths and risks, and personal goals.
* Provide accurate and relevant information on topics such as housing options, tenancy legislation, and allied service systems.
* Advocate for clients, particularly when liaising with real estate agents and housing providers.
* Coordinate crisis accommodation using resources such as the Housing Establishment Fund (HEF) and Private Rental Brokerage.
* Complete referrals and support clients to navigate various service systems and access appropriate gateways.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including community agencies, government services, and service navigators.
