Key Responsibilities:
1. Process and review payroll data for multiple pay cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
2. Maintain accurate employee records, including leave balances, pay rates, and deductions.
3. Respond to inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.
4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
5. Prepare and distribute payslips, payment summaries, and other payroll-related reports.
6. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a similar payroll officer role, preferably within the not-for-profit or healthcare sector.
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices.
* Proficiency in payroll software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
