About The Role
* Train & assist Credit Officers to ensure management & maintenance of corporate credit policies and communicate same to internal & external Customers.
* Ensure monitoring & collection of accounts as they fall due on behalf of the Company in relation to the supply of goods and services to assist in the management of the Company’s receivables.

What You’ll Do
Achieve Monthly Targets and Report Results
* Report results and detail of achievement and or non-compliance in the required format to be communicated to require sales and key management.
Effective Telephone Collections
* Ensure continual follow up with Customer’s and relevant key sales personnel in relation to Customer payment performance and debt collection whilst building Customer rapport.
Review Orders on Hold
* Ensure review orders held regularly.
* Ensure review & follow up with the Customer and or Sales representative to ensure the credit & terms criteria is met for orders to be released e.g. payment received, credit limits reviewed, performance reviewed.
* Ensure monthly report is sent to inform relevant Sales Managers of orders held and action taken to date.
* Reduction of Average Days. Outstanding & Percentage of Debt Exceeding Terms
* Ensure our Customers adhere to our payment terms and address the culture of those Customers who do not.
* Liaise with external contacts for trends & identify possible outside influences that impact company debt.
* Continual review and streamlining of current systems and processes
Review Customers credit terms & credit risk regularly.
* New accounts are to be reviewed every three months until a positive payment and risk trend appears.
Customer Master Data Changes
* Ensure customer master data changes are completed as per written request.
Allocations & Offset of Transactions
* Ensure prompt allocation of monies that are reflected as unapplied and identify logged payments as per customer remittances and or reconciliations. Offset of transactions once resolved.
Claims Monitoring & Processing
* Oversee regular follow up with internal and external customers to resolve outstanding claims.
* Document & report relevant actions.
* Refer incoming claims for actioning.
Credit Processes
* Recommend and assist with methods & procedures with the aim of promoting continuous improvement of Credit processes.
* Assist with SAP implementation of Credit & A/R processes.
* Assist National Credit Manager with various projects as assigned.
* Oversee the Electrolux Control System compliance in of cash collection, cash allocation and debt collection process documentation within the OTC.
* Responsible for bad provisioning and write off’s in accordance with local DOA.
* Ensure all business trade and credit reporting and collection activities in Australia and New Zealand comply with statutory and legal requirements.
* Coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of credit risk and collection administrations and systems.
* Provide credit and risk information, interpretations and support to other management.
* Control activities such as credit policy, cash flow and the relevant budgets and costs pertaining to these functions.
* File Creation & Standard Filing as per current business process
* Ensure monthly reconciliation of all accounts.
Who You Are
* You are an experienced senior credit officer with a genuine passion for credit management.
* You understand credit from start to finish
* Current or recent experience working with SAP (essential)
* Team leadership experience preferred
* Experience in managing high value clients as well low value clients
* Process improvement experience
* Full understanding of the trade practices, consumer, credit & privacy acts
* Understanding of company balance sheet, profit & loss reports and year end financials
* Dispute resolution and problem-solving skills
* Team player and team builder
* Member of Australian Institute of Credit Management (desirable)
