Position: Chef, Dandenong, VIC – Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with management to design, develop, and refine seasonal menus, ensuring alignment with market trends and cost considerations.
- Estimate food and labour expenses accurately while maintaining effective cost controls across daily kitchen operations.
- Source and order top-quality ingredients, oversee inventory, and implement strategies to minimise waste and maximise product freshness.
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes—including signature burgers, grills, and gourmet entrées—with consistency, precision, and creativity.
- Monitor food quality throughout preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring every dish meets established presentation and flavour standards.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to support seamless service, especially during peak trading times.
- Enforce rigorous food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance standards always.
- Manage proper storage, labelling, freezing, and preservation of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce spoilage.
- Contribute to regular kitchen audits and support ongoing improvements to kitchen procedures, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Employment Details:
- Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
- Qualifications: AQF bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience: Minimum 1 year
- Salary: $75,000–$85,000 plus superannuation per annum
