We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Library Services Specialist. The Library Services Specialist will be responsible for providing specialised support and assistance in various areas of library operations. This role requires a strong passion for library services, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
This is a permanent part time role (0.8 FTE) working Monday from 9:00am – 5:00pm and Tuesday to Friday working from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Days and hours may be negotiable.
The Role
* Work collaboratively as part of the LRC team to build and manage a learning resource collection that supports curriculum, both physically and digitally.
* Manage library and departmental collection acquisitions and process all resources
* Plan for and create engaging displays and library promotions, including facilitation of activities to promote reading and literature.
* Provide effective management and supervision of the Library space to ensure a welcoming, organised, and well‐functioning environment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Library qualifications will be desirable, although not essential.
* Ability to work well independently, be self-motivated and take initiative.
* Commitment to professional learning and continuous improvement.
* Proven experience of effective team working and fostering and development of positive working relationships.
* Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement.
