Our client is seeking an experienced Menswear Designer to join the Geelong team on a 6–12 month contract. Reporting into the Head of Product, you will play a key role in designing and developing menswear and corporate workwear from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop products from concept to production.
* Conduct trend research and identify commercial opportunities.
* Create range boards, CADs, artwork and presentation materials.
* Source fabrics, trims and new product ideas.
* Develop accurate design packs and specifications.
* Collaborate closely with Product Development, QA and suppliers.
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or equivalent.
* Solid experience in menswear design & development.
* Strong understanding of the Australian menswear/workwear market.
* Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and finishes.
* Advanced Adobe Illustrator and InDesign skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
