This is a genuine career development opportunity for a trade-qualified electrician or junior project manager looking to transition into electrical project management. Working directly alongside two Senior Project Managers, you'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle - from drawing development and estimating through to O&M handover.
What You'll Be Doing
Drawing development coordination - tracking revisions and ensuring correct versions reach the right people
Design coordination between internal teams, engineers, and external consultants
Quote vetting - reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotes for scope and value
Supplier and cost management - tracking purchase orders and assisting with cost reporting
Inventory management - coordinating materials and equipment ordering aligned to project schedules
RFI management - logging, distributing, and tracking Requests for Information
Email and correspondence management - ensuring all communications are actioned and filed
O&M management - assisting in compilation and delivery of Operations & Maintenance manuals at project close-out
What You'll Learn
Electrical estimating - how to accurately scope, price, and present electrical works
Tender preparation and bid management
Full turnkey electrical project delivery from inception to handover
Commercial awareness - quotes, budgets, variations, and profitability
How to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Labour and material take-offs and how they feed into project pricing
Supplier and subcontractor relationship management
Managing multiple stakeholders and project streams simultaneously
About You
You must have one of the following:
A trade qualification as a licensed Electrician looking to move off the tools, OR
Experience as a Junior Project Manager in the electrical or construction industry
You will also bring:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate to advanced - non-negotiable)
Disciplined folder, file, and drive management
Inbox management discipline - triage, action, file, and follow up without things slipping
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to grow
