About the Role
Kimberley Metals Group (KMG) is an Australian iron ore explorer, developer, and operator with projects across Western Australia.
KMG manages the full mining value chain in-house, including production, grading, processing, haulage, and global logistics, supported by a captive port and established marketing relationships with key end-users.
Safety leadership, statutory compliance, and responsible engagement with Traditional Owners, regulators, contractors, and local stakeholders are central to how KMG operates. Our focus is on delivering reliable production outcomes while maintaining high standards of governance, accountability, and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee full project lifecycles for mining and logistics activities—delivering safely, on time, and within budget.
* Fulfil all legislative obligations as SSE, implementing robust HSEQ systems, risk controls, and statutory reporting.
* Manage contractors, coach supervisors, and foster a high-performance culture.
* Provide accurate production, financial, and statutory reports; prepare and submit contractual claims.
* Engage respectfully with Traditional Owners and local communities, representing the company professionally with all stakeholders.
About You
* Formal qualifications in Mining Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
* First Class Mine Manager Certificate or SSE competencies (or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in mining operations—drill & blast, crushing, haulage or heavy industry.
* Deep understanding of HSEQ systems, statutory compliance, and risk management.
* Strong financial acumen, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience working with Indigenous communities or community development initiatives.
* Current C Class Driver's Licence and valid First Aid/CPR.
