Exact Contracting are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join their remote civil construction and mining projects in the Northern Territory.
This site-based workshop role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager.
You will be responsible for supervising safe and cost-effective maintenance activities on projects.
Responsibilities:
* Lead from the front, driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
* Manage resources effectively to ensure maintenance schedules are met;
* Drive operational efficiencies;
* Provide leadership and supervision through presence, guidance, and feedback to teams and individuals;
* Inspire and encourage team achievement;
* Conduct employee performance appraisals and develop corrective and growth plans as needed;
* Resolve problems and conflicts within the crew;
* Perform hands-on servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, including fault finding and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
Role Requirements:
* Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification;
* Current driver's license;
* Experience in supervisory or management roles;
* Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment;
* Experience with Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear;
* Industry experience in civil/mining sectors with a solid understanding of mobile plant and crushing operations;
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems (e.g., MEX);
* Effective planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors;
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
* Willingness to work in remote locations;
* Hands-on approach.
