ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:
* Carryingout measurements and basic calculations
* Readingand interpreting plans and specifications
* Erectingand maintaining trestle and plank systems
* Handlingpainting and decorating materials
* Usingpainting and decorating tools and equipment
* Removingand replacing doors, windows, and components
* Preparingsurfaces for painting
* Applyingpaint using brushes and rollers
* Applyingtextured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray
Requirements
ABOUT YOU
* Agenuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
* AWhite Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon aspossible
* Physicalfitness and the ability to perform manual labour
* Awillingness to learn and work as part of a team
* Apositive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
* Theability to follow instructions and take direction
* Trustworthinessand motivation
Preferred (but not essential)
* Acurrent driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* Previouspainting or construction-related work experience
