Project Engineer Role Summary
Synopsis:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a major Rail maintenance facility and stabling yard construction project based in Queensland. As a key member of the project team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the delivery of building services installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with time, budget, and quality requirements.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards, including the National Construction Code (NCC).
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure timely and quality delivery of works.
* Prepare progress and compliance reports.
* Coordinate and supervise technical aspects of the project.
* Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
* Verify subcontractors' claims and variations.
* Effectively manage work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
* Work closely with the project team to identify and mitigate risks.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all building services installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This includes electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, as well as other infrastructure elements.
A strong understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant regulations is essential for this role. Previous experience working on Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) QLD or Queensland Rail (QR) projects is highly regarded.
In addition to your technical skills, you will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and leadership skills are also essential for this role, as you will be working closely with the project team and stakeholders to deliver the project successfully.
