Operations Data Administration Officer - Herons Creek
We have an exciting position available for an Operations Data Officer who will be the backbone of our on‐site operations and provide administrative support to all areas of our Timber Mill. This is a Permanent full‐time position working Monday to Friday based at Herons Creek, 30 mins north of Taree, 30 mins south of Port Macquarie.
As an Operations Data Officer, you'll play a vital role as part of the team that provides administrative operational support, with a special focus on safety management, production and maintenance. Your key duties will include accurate data entry, safety reporting, contractor management, purchasing processes, and generating reports for managers. You'll also have the opportunity to showcase your organisational skills by handling a wide variety of administrative tasks including end‐of‐month processes.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and has a knack for juggling multiple responsibilities. Proficiency in data entry, purchasing systems and report generation is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Provide effective, efficient, timely and accurate administrative services as part of a team.
* Act as front‐line representative, greeting visitors in a warm and professional manner.
* Manage phone calls, emails and correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure timely and accurate creation and maintenance of records and data on safety and production systems.
* Assist with site purchasing, including purchase orders, receipt, and procurement of office supplies and personal protective equipment.
* Prepare and format documents and reports as required.
* Coordinate meetings, medical bookings and other relevant appointments.
Qualifications
* Proven track record of success in an administration role.
* Previous experience in manufacturing or an industrial setting is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour at all times.
* Knowledge of purchasing systems is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time‐management skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
