Responsibilities (Text Only) Conduct triage and comprehensive analysis of known and suspected malicious applications, documents, network traffic, and artifacts in support of MSTIC's threat actor pursuit mission, services, and products. Perform reverse engineering and binary analysis, including dynamic and static malware analysis. Develop tactical software to support the triage and analysis of datasets and information related to APT activity and behavior, as well as APT artifact analysis. Contribute host- and network-based detection signatures/scripts to various Microsoft products and services. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of the latest offensive and defensive Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs). Stay informed about adversary capabilities, infrastructure, and techniques to develop methods for discovering, tracking adversaries, and identifying future attacks. Keep current knowledge across critical elements and data types used in threat intelligence analysis, including malware, host and network forensics, data collection methods, and analytic techniques. Qualifications (Text Only) Required qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection, or a Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in reverse engineering malware associated with APT or financially motivated groups. Minimum 2 years experience analyzing malicious desktop, mobile, and web applications developed in common programming languages such as x86/x86-64 Assembly, ARM, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, ActionScript, ASP, Java, JavaScript, HTML. At least 2 years experience using malware analysis tools and platforms, including debuggers, disassemblers, decompilers, sandboxes, and virtualization solutions.
