**Job Description**:
As the Link 16 Test Support Technician based in Fyshwick, ACT you will be required to undertake a broad range of tasks including:
- Technical Support for Conformance to Standard testing and evaluation of Tactical Data Link components and systems
- RF/tactical communications associated with radio frequency and tactical communications systems in areas such as HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM
- A good understanding of Tactical Data Link technologies and equipment
- Setup and support of Tactical Data Link equipment to facilitate testing of ADF platforms throughout Australia
- Provide technical advice to Commonwealth and Industry partners during informal and formal test events
- Basic ICT skills and knowledge,
- Ability to meet export control requirements
- Ability to adhere to WHS policies and guidelines
**Qualifications**:
Some of the key things we're looking for in you:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance **(**_Negative Vetting 1 level required as a minimum to start in the role_**)**:
- Certificate III Electronics & Communication or equivalent desirable
- Previous Experience in Tactical Data Links including Link 11, Link 16 & Link22
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer engagement skills
- Experience in a Defence related industry is highly desirable
