About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as a key member in managing client portfolios and contributing to a high-performing team.
This role involves working closely with senior staff and collaborating on tasks that require strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Tax Planning and Compliance: Prepare and review tax planning figures and analysis for clients.
* Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Returns: Prepare and review FBT returns for clients.
* Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs.
* Project Management: Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and proactively manage workflow.
* Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and contribute to firm growth.
* Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients to develop strong professional relationships.
Requirements:
* Experience: 4+ years of experience in a public practice firm or a similar industry.
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
* Skills: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, MYOB).
