**Payroll Assistant**
We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our wonderful finance team at our Artarmon Head Office.

**Responsibilities**
You'll be responsible for the smooth running of the Payroll Office ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to Company staff, including but not limited to:
- payroll related reconciliations and payments are made in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepare, process and pay weekly, bi-monthly and monthly company staff. Payments to be made in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
- Prepare reconciliations and make payments for all payroll related costs (Superannuation, Workers Compensation, Payroll Tax).
- Complete payroll costing by the end of each month
- Ensure record keeping of all files in the Payroll Office is accurate and professional.
- Challenge and Improve payroll processes ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
- Communicate with the business and external parties in relation to payroll matters.
- Critically evaluate policies and procedures.
**Requirements**:
- 3 years experience as a Payroll Officer (preferably in the Construction Industry)
- Ownership and control of the function - working independently.
- Understanding of legislation and regulations in relation to payroll in construction industries.
- Organised and able to complete and prioritise tasks as required.
- Accuracy and commitment to dates/deadlines
- Team player
- ability to work effectively under the direction and guidance of a supervisor and be adaptable with dealings with the team.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
