HC Truck Driver - Unique Opportunity
Professional Truck Driver responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods using New Technology Prime Mover within the local region.

Operate New Technology Prime Mover truck for the transportation of goods between designated locations across the south-west region including Colac, Lorne & Torquay.Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement to comply with load regulations.Complete all relevant documentation for cargo pickups and deliveries, ensuring accuracy.Handle any customer issues or concerns with professionalism and ensure the timely delivery of goods.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, with particular focus on safety devices.Adhere to all relevant road laws, safety regulations, and company procedures, including the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements.Monitor fuel levels and ensure refuelling at designated station along the route.Maintain compliance with Australian road transport laws, including vehicle weight limits, speed limits, and driver fatigue regulations.Ensure compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) for heavy vehicles and any specific hydrogen vehicle standards.
Successful Candidates will have the following:
Essential:
Valid HC (Heavy Combination) or MC (Multi-Combination)Minimum 3-5 years of experience in long-haul driving or heavy vehicle operations.Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads to ensure that service delivery obligations are met.Detailed knowledge of Australian road transport regulations, including fatigue management and load regulations.Persuasive communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills.Established interpersonal skills and the ability to build quality relationships with internal and external customers.Basic mechanical knowledge, particularly regarding vehicle inspections and minor troubleshooting.Availability to work Monday to Friday.Dedication and work ethic.Genuine passion for truck driving.Responsibility to keep truck well maintained.Focus on meeting personal and business goals.Preferred:
Experience driving new technology prime mover or alternative fuel vehicles is highly desirable.Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) certification or training in handling hazardous goods.Familiarity with alternate fuel systems, including refuelling, storage, and safety protocols.Experience using telematics and electronic logging devices (ELDs) for fleet management and compliance.Benefits Include:
