Your Role as Disability Support Worker
You’ll deliver person-centred services across disability settings. You’ll empower individuals to live more independently, safely, and meaningfully by:
* Performing personal care, domestic duties, assistance with meals and medication
* Providing In home, centre based and overnight respite
* Enabling social and community participation
* Assisting in implementing client-specific programs to encourage independence whenever possible
* Promoting individuals well-being
What We’re Looking For
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent/relevant
* Proven ability to work in a team environment to build collaborative relationships with individuals who have a disability and their families
* Demonstrated compassion and respect for individuals with a disability, colleagues, and visitors
Essential Requirements
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
* Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy
* Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
* Current First Aid Certificate
