ICE Engineering (part of the Tasmea Group) is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technical Specialist to join our team for the completion of a 60 day Shut in Hobart to commence late January2026.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will play a key role in supporting commissioning, pre-commissioning, and technical. This position is responsible for field scoping, work pack preparation, documentation review, troubleshooting, and supporting site teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical and troubleshooting support
* Review drawings, documentation, and ensure compliance with Client standards
* Oversee E&I activities including testing, verification, and hazardous area compliance
* Complete commissioning records, punch lists, and handover documentation
Skills & Experience
Mandatory:
* TAS Electrical Workers Licence
* Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation
* National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willing to obtain during recruitment process)
* CPR/LVR (within last 12 months)
* Hazardous Areas (within last 3 years)
* White Card
* Drivers License
* TARR holder
* Working at Heights (within last 3 years)
* Able to pass a full pre-employment medical + drug and alcohol testing
