About the Opportunity
Are you ready to make a real difference in an organisation that's committed to creating positive change? We're excited to welcome our very first Internal Auditor – a brand-new role designed to strengthen the way we review, evaluate, and improve our work across PeopleKind Group.
Reporting directly to our Executive Director of Risk, Governance and Compliance, you'll lead the development of our internal audit framework and take a proactive, risk-based approach to financial, operational, governance, and service quality audits. This is your chance to shape the role, influence how we work, and help us deliver even better outcomes for the people and communities we serve.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Develop and implement an
internal audit framework tailored to our organisation's needs.
* Conduct audits with a risk-based
approach across finance, operations, governance, and service delivery.
* Evaluate processes,
systems, and controls to ensure they are efficient, compliant, and effective.
* Prepare clear, practical
audit reports with recommendations for improvement and action tracking.
* Work with leaders and teams
to build understanding and commitment to audit outcomes.
* Support continuous
improvement initiatives through follow-up reviews and advice.
* Build management comprehension if the benefit and importance
of the internal audit function.
* Support management with preparation for external
audits and accreditation.
* Support Board and Executive with risk based
audits when required.
What You'll Bring:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, auditing, quality standards, or similar.
* Previous experience in internal audit or a related assurance role.
* Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector (highly regarded).
* Valid Australian working rights, a current driver's licence, and willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
