Senior Biostatistician Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Biostatistician to join our organization in Australia. This is a key role within our Statistics team, and you will be responsible for providing statistical input into protocol design, including sample size estimations, key efficacy and safety parameters, endpoints, randomisation, and blinding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs): Develop detailed methodology, programming procedures, variable definitions, and presentation of data and results (TLGs) for assigned studies.
* Mentoring and Training Support: Provide guidance and support to less experienced biostatisticians as required.
* SAS Programming: Perform SAS programming and related activities to support project deliverables, as needed.
* Statistical Output Review: Review and QC statistical outputs produced by Statistical Programmers, ensuring accuracy and clarity in Tables, Listings, and Figures.
* Project Management: Manage statistical service deliverables across assigned projects.
* Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Medical Writers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality statistical/clinical study reports.
For this role, we're looking for candidates with:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Education: MSc degree or higher in a statistics-related field.
* Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in biostatistics, ideally within a CRO environment.
* Biostatistics Expertise: Expert knowledge in biostatistics in clinical trials and the necessary skills to evaluate current programming and other processes, develop strategies for improvement, and execute on those strategies.
