About the role Join a highly regarded Banking & Finance practice within a leading national law firm, working on a sophisticated mix of transactional matters across the Australian and international lending market. You’ll be involved in a broad range of financing work, including bilateral, club and syndicated lending transactions, acting for major domestic and offshore lenders as well as significant corporate borrowers. The practice covers property and construction finance, retirement and aged care financing, agribusiness lending, acquisition finance and general corporate finance matters. What’s on offer Competitive market salary achievable bonus program Flexible working arrangements Transparent promotion pathways and strong career progression Paid parental leave Ability to purchase up to 10 additional days of annual leave each year Financial support for further study (fees study leave) Access to novated leasing Genuine work-life balance What you’ll be doing Acting on a diverse range of banking and finance transactions across bilateral, club and syndicated facilities Advising major banks, non-bank lenders, overseas financiers and corporate borrowers Assisting with property, construction, acquisition, agri, retirement living and aged care finance matters Drafting and negotiating finance documentation with a strong focus on accuracy and commercial outcomes Working directly with clients and supporting end-to-end transaction management Collaborating closely with senior lawyers and partners on complex and high-value deals Contributing to knowledge sharing and supporting the development of junior team members What we’re looking for 2 years’ PAE in a recognised banking and finance practice in Australia or overseas Strong technical drafting skills with excellent attention to detail Experience managing transactional work and engaging directly with clients Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a high-performing team Enthusiasm for mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development Genuine interest in building a long-term career in banking and finance law About our client Our client is a highly respected national law firm with a market-leading Banking & Finance practice recognised for its technical excellence, strong client relationships and depth of expertise across complex financing transactions.
