We are seeking skilled individuals to support consumers in living independently within their community.
This part-time position involves delivering quality domestic, personal care and social support services to individual consumers based on their specific needs and preferences. The role also ensures the rights, cultural, spiritual and individual needs of consumers are incorporated in all aspects of care and daily living.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with daily tasks such as shopping, banking, bill paying, and meal preparation.
* Provide assistance with personal hygiene, showering, toileting, and dressing/undressing.
* Supervise or assist consumers with mobility, including getting in and out of bed and using wheelchairs or other equipment.
* Liaise with healthcare professionals and emergency services when necessary.
* Organize appointments and escort consumers to outings as required.
* Support consumers with exercises and simple wound dressing.
* Administer medication and provide general household cleaning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
* A current First Aid certificate.
* A current CPR certificate.
* A valid Class C Driver's License.
* Knowledge of the Commonwealth's Aged Care Industry Quality Standards.
* The use of a registered and fully insured motor vehicle for transporting consumers.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
