Job Description
As a seasoned engineering professional, you will oversee the management of engineers who are responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of customer environments. Your role will entail collaborating closely with customers, product engineering teams, and operations to drive success.
The ideal candidate should have experience in software delivery, either through Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar programming languages, as well as managing operations teams. A strong background in OpenStack is also highly desirable.
* Manage a team to optimize development and operations efficiency.
* Identify and track key performance indicators for team health.
* Implement disciplined processes for engineering and operations.
* Represent the team with stakeholders, customers, and external teams.
* Ensure proper focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
* Work towards meeting service level agreements globally.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
* Proven track record of professional experience in software delivery or operations management.
* Experience with Linux system administration, particularly Ubuntu/Debian.
* Strong communication and cooperation skills.
* Experience with agile software development methodologies.
* Ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
* Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems.
* Experience with cloud topologies and technologies.
