Mount Lawley Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of motivated School Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Suitable applicants will ideally work as part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community. As the first point of contact for staff and students in one of our Administration offices you should be well organised, friendly and have the ability to prioritise tasks, assist and mentor other support staff and liaise with staff and students in the delivery of excellent office support. Experience with Schools Information System (SIS) Integris, absentees, enrolments, faults management, Reporting to Parents, timetabling, RM Finance, RM Billing, Microsoft 365, and producing mail merge documents would be highly regarded. Your willingness and ability to move within a range of roles would be expected.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
1. Experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
2. Experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and /or preparing financial returns.
3. Ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
5. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.

13. complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
14. complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
15. complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
